How to perform a Mozy Pro Backup manually There have been some reported issues with the Mozy Pro program and the scheduled backup not always performing automatically. We are currently working with the MozyPro support team, and they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. In the meantime, if you are experiencing this issue, please follow the steps below. Step 1 - Open the MozyPro status window. Click on the Mozy icon in the taskbar. You may need to click the arrow to show all icons. If Mozy has not backed up recently, then the icon should have a red exclamation point (!) in the center as shown below. Step 2 - Begin Manual Backup. When the Mozy status window opens, you will notice that it will display the amount of time that has passed since the last backup. At this point, you may press the "Start Backup" button, circled in red here. Step 3 - Don't worry, be happy. At this point, all of your files are getting backed up once again. You now have the peace of mind that your data is safe. Please note that when Mozy is running it's backup, your internet connection may slow down considerably, so plan accordingly. In most cases, after the initial backup is complete, the daily backups take between five and ten minutes. If you experience any problems or have further questions, you can contact us for assistance. Happy computing! |
